Bologna vs. Lazio

<10>

Expect some "random variables" here as both starting keepers are sidelined. Bologna is missing defensive anchors, while Lazio’s injury list is concentrated in the attack. Bologna is coming off a 120-minute war with Roma, so Lazio’s injury woes are largely neutralized by Bologna's exhaustion.

Bologna’s strength is a cohesive defense (50% clean sheet rate recently), but a backup keeper creates a massive "unknown" under pressure. That said, Lazio’s offense is anemic, producing barely more than relegation-tier teams. Their away form is the worst in Serie A, averaging under 0.6 goals per game and being shut out 9 times this season (xG 31.30 vs. xGA 38.29).

Lazio’s defense looks okay on paper (<1.0 goals conceded per game), but the "eye test" shows they rely way too much on goalkeeping and opponent errors. They crumble against quality sides (losses to Milan, Inter, Napoli, etc.). Furthermore, Lazio is a red card magnet, with 7 reds in 29 games. If things get cagey or if they fall behind, expect their discipline to snap. With Sarri suspended from the touchline, their in-game management is compromised. The market drift is purely a reaction to Bologna’s fatigue, not Lazio’s strength.

The Play: 1X

Celta Vigo vs. Alaves

Celta is balancing European duties but hasn't let it affect their league form. Alaves, meanwhile, is abysmal on the road, with their only recent away win coming against Espanyol. Naturally, the market is leaning toward Celta.

There are risks: Celta is dealing with a "European hangover" and a midfield that is almost entirely missing. However, Alaves lacks the "killer instinct" to exploit this. While Alaves creates chances, their conversion rate is bottom-tier, and their xG per shot lags far behind Celta’s. On the road, their 0.6 goals per game is tied for dead last in La Liga.

Celta still has their primary goal-scorers available. Even with a weakened midfield, their clinical edge at home should carry them. The slight dip in the odds is a fair reflection of their schedule, not a lack of confidence in their ability to win.

The Play: Celta Vigo Win
