Auxerre vs Paris Saint-Germain<10>
Can PSG return to the top of the table?
Auxerre currently sit 17th in Ligue 1 with 12 points and are under serious relegation pressure. They come into this match on a four-game losing streak across all competitions. Offensively, they’ve scored just 14 league goals — the worst tally in the division — with poor finishing efficiency being their biggest weakness.

There is, however, some positive news for the hosts. Owusu and Mensah return from suspension, and aside from Schärlerta, who remains a minor doubt, Auxerre have most of their regular starters available. More importantly, home games are where Auxerre collect points: 10 of their 12 league points this season have come at home. Tactically, they are expected to line up in a compact 5-4-1, focusing on midfield disruption and direct counter-attacks. Their defensive resilience was on display last time out against Lens.
Paris Saint-Germain sit second in the table with 42 points, just one point behind leaders Lens. With the title race tightening, PSG urgently need an away win to regain top spot. Their recent league form has been strong, winning four consecutive matches while scoring at least two goals in each. Ousmane Dembélé is in excellent form, while Vitinha leads Ligue 1 with seven assists. PSG’s multi-pronged attack remains sharp and productive.

That said, PSG face significant squad issues for this trip. Achraf Hakimi is suspended, while Ruiz, Nuno Mendes, Lee Kang-in and several others are sidelined — leaving them short of up to seven first-team players. This severely impacts both their wing play and midfield connectivity. On top of that, a crucial Champions League fixture awaits midweek, meaning Luis Enrique must carefully manage rotation and player workload amid a congested schedule.
Historically, PSG hold a clear edge. Auxerre are winless in their last eight meetings with PSG and lost 0–2 away in the reverse fixture earlier this season, giving the visitors a clear psychological advantage.
From a market perspective, Auxerre’s chances of winning are extremely slim. Many bettors are skeptical about PSG covering a big margin, but after closely analyzing the handicap line and market movement, I believe PSG are well-positioned for a convincing win.
Prediction: Over 2.5 Goals or PSG -1.5 (Asian Handicap)
